The Other Daughter - Lisa Gardner
The Other Daughter is definitely my least favourite Lisa Gardner book to date. It didn't have the same intensity that I had grown so used to. It's one of her earliest books and I wonder if Gardner might have just not found her niche yet. The story started out strong but at some point got very confusing and yet it seemed like nothing was happening. The ending was good but it was the first time that I have ever predicted how the story was going to wrap up. The story line seemed promising with mysterious pasts and unclear motives but it quickly got frustrating with information given only fleetingly. Overall, would not recommend this book though I know that Melanie does show up again in a book farther down the line. Other than understand that very minimal plot line, I don't think its worth the read.
