Omens - Kelley Armstrong

Omens is definitely a book you want to read on vacation because you will not want to put it down. It's a weird mix of mystery and a little bit of sci-fi that keep you guessing. The premise is that a young woman named Olivia wakes up one day to have her world turned upside down when she finds out that she was actually adopted and her real parents are - get this - murderers. Needless to say she has a bit of an existential crisis which eventually leads her to Cainsville USA which is a tiny and weird town that seems to have a bit of  supernatural undertow. The book keeps you on your toes and it's technically classified as a horror mystery so there are one or two scenes that you'll want to keep the lights on for.
